Jason J. Wagg was taken into custody at his residence on Ann’s Lane after officers, aided by the Seacoast Emergency Response Team and the Strafford County Regional Tactical Operations Unit, executed a high-risk search and arrest warrant. Police said that before serving the warrants, they were already aware Wagg had barricaded himself inside and had placed weapons throughout the house.
According to a Hampton Police Department Facebook post issued that morning, officers asked residents to avoid the area near Ann’s Lane and Mill Road while the operation was underway, noting that a law enforcement presence staging near Hampton Academy did not pose a threat to the school.
