EPE-1 constituents return Tobun (APC) to Lagos House of Assembly for a fourth term


MR Abiodun Tobun, (APC-Epe-1), has been re-elected to the Lagos State House of Assembly for a fourth term.

He defeated 10 other candidates in the March 18 Assembly elections to return to the House.

Dr Aaron Akinloye, INEC Electoral Returning Officer, declared Tobun the winner at the results collation center in Epe on Sunday.

Akinloye said Tobun got 14,799 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate who got 1,630 votes while the Labor Party (LP) candidate got 532.

He said that 17,697 voters were accredited in the March 18 exercise.

“The APC candidate was declared the winner because the party got the highest number of votes and returned elected,” Akinloye said.

In Epe 2 constituency, APC candidate, Mr. Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu, also won the Lagos State House of Assembly election.

He polled 14,029 to defeat the PDP candidate who polled 2,703.

Declaring Ogunkelu the winner, INEC’s Returning Officer for the constituency, Dr. Savaina Akinosho, said the LP candidate polled 588 votes while the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate polled 11 votes. (NAN)
