PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Parent meeting for secondary schools from 7 to 8 pm on March 20. Classes resume on March 21.
Parent meeting for secondary schools from 8 am to 1 pm; 7:30-12:30 for Oceanview Middle School; 9:45am to 11:45am virtually and 1-3pm in person for FB Leon Guerrero High School. Classes resume on March 23.

Universal preschool program
The universal preschool program accepts applications until April 14.
To qualify, students must be 4 years old by July 31st. Students from Finegayan Elementary School, JQ San Miguel Elementary School, Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary School, and Marcial Sablan Elementary School will be given priority; Out-of-district applications will be accepted subject to availability.
Applications are available at any participating school, mayor’s office and Guam DOE Central Office or at www.gdoe.net. For more information, contact any of the participating schools or the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at 671-300-1635.
Gifted and Talented Education Program
The Gifted and Talented Education Program is accepting prescreening applications for the 2023-2024 GATE Pre-Kindergarten through April 14.
To qualify, students must be a resident of Guam and be 4 years old by August 31st. In addition, students must participate in the visual-motor integration test, the vocabulary test, and the visual closure test and score at least 130 on one of the tests or a total score of 350.
Applications are available at Astumbo Elementary School, BP Carbullido Elementary School, Harry S. Truman Elementary School, Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary School, MU Lujan Elementary School, Machanaonao Elementary School or HB Price Elementary School or visit www.gdoe.net. Along with the completed application, a copy of the student’s birth certificate or passport must be submitted. Testing is from March 6 to May 5. PRIVATE SCHOOLS
GCA Trades Academy
Registration for electrical, plumbing, heavy equipment, project management and heating, ventilation and air conditioning is ongoing.
Accepting applications for summer school consideration. All public and private high school students are encouraged to enroll.
The project management class starts on March 23rd. Students will develop an understanding of construction materials and methods, mathematics, communications, safety, human resources, scheduling and customer support.
Electrical/Electronic Systems Technician class begins March 28th. Students will learn about the installation of lighting, telecommunications equipment and security systems in residential and commercial spaces.

Our Lady of Guam Academy

Schedule:
- 22-23. March: 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. open house/shadow days for incoming students. Call the office to schedule a visit.
- March 23: Dismissal at 1:30 p.m., Staff Development at 1:45 p.m.
- March 25: Exam for the school year 2023-2024. $60 application fee and $70 testing fee. Payments must be made at the business office.
- March 31: 1:30 pm dismissal.
COLLEGE
Guam Community College
Summer and fall applications are open. The first day of the summer semester begins on June 2, and the fall semester begins on August 16.
New and returning students can apply at guamcc.edu/apply or visit the campus admissions office in Building 2000 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Academic advisors and financial aid officers will help students complete the free application for federal student aid. Health Services Center staff will be available to assist students in obtaining health screenings.
