Architect David Adjaye Awarded Britain’s Order of Merit

David Adjaye has become the fifth architect ever to be awarded Britain’s Order of Merit. The British-Ghanaian architect, founder of Adjaye Associates, was one of the last members to be chosen for the honor by the late Queen Elizabeth II, and was admitted on Nov. 24. Unfinished New Jersey Mansion Asks $24.95 Million

An unfinished 40,000-square-foot house, on the market for $24.95 million, is thought to be the highest asking price ever for a residential property in South Jersey. The seven-bedroom home is about 90% complete and has a sports-themed tavern, a vehicle elevator, a home theater, a wine cellar and a chapel. “We really struggle with what words to use to describe this property,” said listing agent Kevin Steiger, of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty. “This house lends itself to entertaining on a grand scale. German Property Market Set to Slow, Not Correct

The German property market may be headed towards a slowdown, but it is expected to dodge any significant correction, according to the country’s central bank. The report from The Deutsche Bundesbank noted the strong rise in property prices from 2010 to mid-2022 and said overvaluations increased in German cities, towns and in the country as a whole in 2021. “We do see a slowdown in the price growth for residential real estate, but it’s not that the overall dynamic has reversed,” said Claudia Buch, vice president of the Bundesbank.
